Writing Bloodplay was never about comfort for me. Neither was acknowledging that the bond between my characters is sick and warped. I'm writing this series with the intention of portraying that darkness remains an integral part of who we are, and it is how we cope with it that matters most. It won't disappear. It won't be brushed under the rug beneath the illusion of the shining sun. This is not the purpose of Bloodplay.
